What’s In YOUR Garden?

We’ve done a something a little different in our gardens this year.


Instead of filling our side gardens with flowers and herbs, we decided to plant way less flowers and plant different varieties of winter squash.


Creating a blenderized diet for Parker has been  excellent, as of today Parker is up to a solid 32 pounds.

The only real drawback is that finding organic fruits and veggies for our Brave Hero can be beyond expensive.


My plan this year is to dehydrate as much as I can from our garden and from any gleanings that my neighbors might not want.

Freezing is great, but I can only fit so much into my freezer. ( I’d LOVE to have another one in my garage!)


Our tomato plants are full of blooms.


Here’s hoping we have enough bees to turn them all into tomatoes.


And here we have the first pepper of the season.


In a few more weeks I’ll be out training these guys to grow up my fence.

The beets took their sweet time deciding to join the party. I need to get a few more rows planted too.


Slowly, but surely we are making our way to what hopefully will be a spectacular harvest.


And how lucky am I to have such a cute gardening buddy to hang out with?
