I promise an update today. Really. With pictures and everything.

The Chicken Legs are back in all of their glory. Parker lost quite a bit of weight this last week. And the constipation is back in full force too. Senna doesn’t help. It causes more gas that anything good. So I need to do some intense research to find some other ideas.

Cause fighting the constipation is kinda like fighting the battle of the butt rash. You gotta find what works for YOUR kid. It’s a crap shoot.

Lots of people don’t understand how bad it is being constipated until it happens to them. It’s awful. :(

Have you heard of Apple Fiber? Apple Fiber helps with constipation and pretty much any GI issues. We’ve seen some great results with it. I’ll find the link where my mom orders it from and also any other info she has and will send it to ya in an email :) .

Not that I don’t know how it works, but there’s not much in my tool box for a slow gi system. ‘Cept of course for my panacea – works on chicken legs, too. ‘Member that little suggestion I sent in email? Try that, too.

Still cheering that you and Parker are home, and still praying for Parker & Tammy.

Fruit juice? As a kid, I went through a phase where I only wanted to drink apple juice (no water, no milk, etc) and then had terrible problems with diarrhea.

Alex had problems with loose stools when they were giving him extra oils in his formula (MCT oil) for extra calories.

Oh I hope you get the constipation/gas issues worked out ASAP. A happy tummy & bum = a happy kid!

I’m sure this has already been suggested but have you tried miralax. Its the only thing that works on my daughter’s slow immature (premature) digestive system.
