The exact same thing happened to me at PCMC when we came in for Thomas's MRI study. I was so mad. After waiting an extra hour or so (with a hungry baby), with the IV already in, an MD finally came in (after several nurses) and said they were concerned about his noisy breathing, and didn't want to sedate him without life support. I was TICKED. They said it would take another month to reschedule. I was MORE TICKED. Then they gave me the option of proceeding at our own risk. I said, "We're looking for brain tumors today.
