Hallmark Recordable Storybooks Giveaway!

This giveaway is now closed and the winner will be announced after Parker’s surgery today.

Enter to win one of two Hallmark Recordable Storybooks AND take advantage of the great offers from Hallmark listed at the end of this post.

It’s official.  Parker’s surgery date is set for the 7th of December.

One glottalplasty to go, please!

Parker is a veteran of enough hospital stays that we know next to a good surgeon and medical team, the most important things are a couple of well loved items to remind a Brave Hero of home and family.

When Hallmark sent me, All The Ways I Love You, one of their Recordable Storybooks, I immediately knew how I’d use it.

Hallmark Recordable Storybooks feature voice-capture technology that records the reader’s voice directly into the pages of the Recordable Storybook. When a page is turned, the book automatically plays the text on that page in the reader’s voice.

I had everyone sit down and read a page in their own unique voice.

Can you imagine it?  A storybook for Parker, read by those he loves the most.

Parker’s favorite people in the world added a bit of their own personality to what they read.  From “Hey!  Dude!” to “Now, come home soon!” and “I love you, man.”

I can’t imagine anything more perfect for Parker to hold on to as he recuperates from this next procedure than the love of his family in audio book form.

Thank you Hallmark, for making this surgery a little bit easier to get through.

Would YOU like to win one of these beautifully illustrated and written books?  A beautiful keepsake with the quality we expect from Hallmark, plus the ability to  personalize each one with your own recording creates a priceless gift.

Imagine the looks of delight on the faces of those separated from loved ones as they unwrap a treasure on Christmas morning.

  1. This is such an awesome give away.. My Zachy will be having major brain surgery on the 14th of Dec. This, like parker, would help my boy remember who loves him. I would LOVE to be able to have this to “read” to him.

  2. I love these books! Makenzie loves books and I am sure she would love to hear her brothers voices when they are gone at school or when we are out of town doing therapy!

    What a great giveway!

Would love this for cici (and the other kids too)

  6. Good luck with the surgery!!!
I would love to have the grandparents read this while we are visiting them at Christmas and then the boys could have them “read” a story even though we only see them a few times a year.

  7. christine says:

I also love this idea. My daughter is frequently hospitalized for extended periods of time 3 hours from home. I would love to have a book like this for her big brother, age 6, who gets left home with a baby sitter, because we have no daddy. It would be great for him so I can still read him a bed time story every night even when we are 200 miles away.

  8. meeyeehere aka Rachel Crisman says:

Well,I would like to get this for my niece who had to move far away and she misses us all the time.

  9. meeyeehere aka Rachel Crisman says:

I hit the like button too

  10. Emma would love a recordable book!

I also thought about your iPad request. We bought one for Emma, but know a couple of local families who didn’t have the money and asked the Rotary Club and Lions Club and were able to get one gifted to them that way. Also, over at babieswithipads.blogspot.com you can find some links to grants for iPads for special needs kiddos. Good luck getting one for Parker!!!!

  11. Kennedy would LOVE this book. Her Aunt Catie, my sister, brings a book for her every time she visits. Kennedy so looks forward to her visits and her ” new” book. She has filled kennedys bookshelves. We don’t live near her so the visits are far and few between but Kennedy would love a book “read” to her by her Aunt Catie when she cant be here with us.

  12. Don’t enter me in the giveaway, but I just wanted to say this is a fantastic idea to get the whole family involved! I have one and am planning to give it to my brother to record for his soon-to-be-born baby (since he travels a lot for work).

  13. I’m not interested in winnning the giveaway, I just wanted to wish you and your family all my best for Parker’s upcoming surgery. However, if I did win, I would want you to donate this great book to anyone at the hospital you thought would appreciate it.

  14. I am not entering because I hope someone who really could make use of having loved ones share such a wonderful gift wins but just wanted to say that these hallmark storybooks are amazing. Every year I find myself purchasing at least one to give out to close friends and family so that they can share them with cousins and grandchildren who live a great distance away. Happy Thanksgiving! :)

  15. Rachel Ford says:

I just want this book to share with my children how much I love them at all times.

  16. Shiela says:

I would love to win one for my two boys

  17. Shiela says:

I like this post on FB – I hope your son’s surgery goes well :)

  18. I would love to have the chance to read to my two baby grandgirls (Ella and Evie) anytime they wish since we’re half-way across the US from each other! Hope to see you soon, Ella Bella and Evie Bee. Mimi loves you. And Parker, we’re behind ya, little man!

  19. i plan on buying a recordable book for my grandson, jordan. he lives 6 hours from his father and gets to visit him on weekends. he is only two and this way he can have his father.nanna and gigii with him. this is an awesome way to remain in touch with this precious package…

  20. We would like to win one for our daughter who will be having heart surgery as well. Good luck with Parkers surgery, we are praying for all of you!

  21. I liked this on FB

  22. Hi Tami,

It sounds like Parker and Sam are both having surgery on the same day! I love the giveaway and would love to do the same thing you did for Sam. Good luck on Parker’s surgery, we’ll be praying for you too!!

  23. I would have my dad read/record the story ’cause my kids miss their grandpa so much and rarely get to see him. I know they would love to have grandpa read them a story anytime they needed to hear his voice.

  24. I would give this book to my mom so she can record herself reading to my kids (we live 1800 mi apart). I remember her voice reading to my siblings & I while she was at work-she would prerecord herself on a cassette tape reading our favorite books…..This is a memory that I cherish and I hope to share with my children.

  25. Becky says:

My nieces and nephews are moving and I think it would be fun for my kids to make the book for them!

  26. suzi fialing says:

would love to give that book to my beautiful granddaughter, Maggie

  27. I would love the night before christmas book for my mom to record for my son, since she does not live local. I liked this post on FB as well.

I love these recordable books! I purchased one because I want to always be able to hear my mama read my son a bedtime story. This is the greatest creation ever!

  30. April Salisbury says:

I am expecting my first grandchild, a boy, Troy Elijah, Feb 14th. His mom lives in NC and we live in MA. :( We recently saw this exact book on Teen Mom and immediatly thought of dear Troy who we most likely wont see for a very long time. We wanted to put together a grandparents box of things for him along with this book with our voices. This is perfect! Thank you!

  31. I know Parker will love this. When my son was in the hospital last January and his sisters were not allowed to visit him due to the H1N1 scare it brought tears to his eyes to hear their voices on the phone. I’m not really entering the giveaway, but this is a really sweet idea. I’ll keep it in mind if I’m ever away from my kids again.

  34. Luke would love a book like the one you’ve talked about.

  35. These Books are truly amazing, they really help children in so many ways. My daughter is premature born weighing 2lb 10oz she is doing great now but she has been fighting her whole life already and even with all of that she seems to always have a big smile on her face. Im a single mother that would love to give a great gift like the recording book to her so she can hear me where ever she goes. Unfortunatly Im unable to afford one, but it would make a great first christmas gift. Thank you
