Fresh Courage Take

Many of you may know that our family motto is Believe.  I found this quote and it simply made my heart swell with gratitude and love.  This quote by Jeffery R. Holland is this week’s Fresh Courage Take.

LDS Inspirational Quote Fresh Courage Take

Parker and I would love for you to share your favorite quote or thought in the comments below.  I love uplifting words and tend to have them stuck to mirrors, computer screens, the fridge, on doors……any place I might be able to have the opportunity to glance at some words of hope and enlightenment through out my day.  I used to  have a notebook filled with quotes that I would read through when I need  a bit of a pick me up.

When I was in college and living so far away from home, my Dad would write me letters including words of inspiration by church leaders and others.  It’s amazing when someone can put what you are feeling into words, isn’t it?

So, what are your words of wisdom as we go into a new week?

  1. My family is not religious, but at dinner this was our grace:

    Though much is taken, much abides; and though
    We are not now that strength which in old days
    Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
    One equal temper of heroic hearts,
    Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
    To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
    —Tennyson, Ulysses

    Thought it rather fitting for you.

  2. “Live joyfully, live happily, live enthusiastically; knowing that God does not dwell in gloom and melancholy but in light and love.”
    ~Ezra Taft Benson
