Sitting in his Britex watching as the world drives by.
Guess the Weatherman was right when he said 95% chance of a summer shower, huh Mom?
What? They want me to SIT in that chair?
A knee to knee exam? Oh, well, that’s much better. NOT!
Yup, it took THREE sets of hands to hold our Brave Hero still for the exam.
What was that about low muscle tone again?
BTW, Parker and I are over at www.5minutesforspecialneeds today too.
Go. Read. Leave a comment….or two. It’s lonely over there. sniff, sniff
I love the expression sitting in the stroller! Kayla has her first real dentist appointment at the end of August. Not looking forward to it!
Reading faithfully and agreeing that LOW MUSCLE TONE DOESN’T MEAN THEY CAN’T FIGHT YOU LIKE THE BEST OF THEM!!! All 3 of mine have proven that to me over and over- especially my “floppiest” whom I have to practically sit on to give any meds… Yep, strong little buggars. How did the actual exam go? Clean and dandy??
That’s so funny even though it’s not! When I think how much effort it takes to hold my baby still enough just to change her diaper, I don’t envy those dentists one little bit!
Oh man, poor guy! I feel the same way about dentists!! I had my 1st x-rays/exam at the dentist in 5 years (I know, I know, I’m terrible), and found out I have my first cavities…ever. I’m 30. I’m NOT looking forward to this. I hope that all went well with the exam!!
They actual exam shows damage from reflux and calcium type deposits. He’ll need to be put under to have this removed along with x-rays, etc.
I’m hoping to get this scheduled as well as new tubes put in at the same time.
Then in October round two of the pull through!
It’s always exciting at Parky’s house! 😀
OH Parker! You are much braver than I am sweetie! What a good little guy you are!! I havent been to the destist in forever, I have been very bad!
Poor little guy! I have heard acid reflux is very hard in teeth. I hope that clears up and he doesnt have to go through having it removed again
Oh poor little guy, he looked so scared of the chair. But what a big boy he was to go through it
He’s such a sweetie.
Low muscle tone, as you well know, has nothing to do with strength. I’ll be he bucks like a bronco! I hope he got a sticker or something.
Looks like a typical toddler!! I just took all 3 (2 1/2, 2 1/2, and 4) of my kids to the dentist last week….. we had to hold 2 out of 3 down (my 4 year old included!!!). What a cute little guy and hopefully his next procedure will go well!
Awwwww. Little tough guy! He’s soooooooooooo adorable. Love his photo there with the wet hair. too cute!
Oh, my sympathies!!! I hate bringing my son to the dentist because he hates it so much too.
Poor guy! Micah hates the dentist but we’ve not pushed him. He goes along and sits in the chair next to his older brothers but we’ve not held him down yet. We’re hoping there’s nothing major going on in there that we should know about.
Good job Parker, we hate the dentist at our house!
Payton had her first visit today actually! They didn’t clean, just did flouride and a check. I hope Parker didn’t fight as much as she did! LOL
Izzy has her very first dentist appt in September. We are not looking forward to it. She hates doctors more than ever after her cast and she panics and cries every time she hurts herself as she thinks she has to see a doc. She really hates opening her mouth…so, we shall see. I made Daddy take the day off to go with us. I think the two of us are going to have our work cut out for us.
Oh man! I remember Kallie hating going to the dentist. Now she is much better though…He is just too cute.
Poor Parker! Totally know how it is. Ben is that way still, at 7+. It is getting bad enough I’m thinking sedation for next time’s check up, coming soon. Will probably combine cardiology with it. I hate seeing so much fear, and yes, when you are scared, you get STRONG!
Oh that little hero – (((HUGS))) Poor thing!
Awwww! Poor little guy in the middle stroller picture!
And I know about adults having to hold these wee people down – it took a couple of people to hold The Baby down when she was one and having blood tests! Small but MIGHTY!
oh Lil buddy! I feel for you, going to the dentist is such a drag brave boy!
This broke my heart. Especially the photos. I have been here recently and it was horrible. Tristan needs to be sedated for his next dentist visit even with 4 of us there was no holding him down. T has reflux damage too
